DHL Supply Chain and Girl Scouts of the USA Partner to Inspire Female Supply Chain Leaders of Tomorrow

August 24, 2023 : DHL Supply Chain, America’s leader in contract logistics and part of DHL Group, and Girl Scouts of the USA announced today a new partnership to create a logistics patch and curriculum to inspire young girls to pursue careers in the supply chain.

The program, available to Girl Scout troops across the United States in 2025 and 2026, will teach girls about the importance of supply chain management and the many exciting career opportunities available. The curriculum will cover transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and customer service.

“We are proud to partner with Girl Scouts of the USA to inspire the next generation of female supply chain leaders,” said Scott Sureddin, CEO of DHL Supply Chain, North America. “This program will give girls the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in this growing field.”

The partnership is part of DHL Supply Chain’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The company is committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome and valued, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, or background.

DHL Supply Chain will develop the logistics patch and curriculum in collaboration with Girl Scouts of the USA. The program will be piloted with Girl Scout troops in 10 councils in 2023 and 2024.

The logistics patch and curriculum are part of DHL Supply Chain’s broader commitment to supporting STEM education for girls. The company also sponsors the DHL Supply Chain Girls in STEM Scholarship, which scholarships girls pursuing STEM degrees in college.
